
Corky Quakenbush is a director/producer/writer specializing in comedy and stop-motion animation. His television directing, producing and development credits include shows, pilots, and segments on FOX, NBC, ABC, WB, HBO, VH-1, Disney, MTV, Cinemax, Oxygen, TBS, Discovery, and PBS.
Corky holds the record for number of films screened from a single director at the Sundance Film Festival (nine). Numerous festivals have honored Corky in the form of tributes, retrospectives and awards. HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen honored him with a “Best Of” program. His work has also appeared theatrically in compilations such as Mike Judge’s The Animation Show.
In 2008, Corky executive produced and directed a primetime TV pilot for Denis Leary’s Apostle Pictures and Sony Pictures Television. He also returned to Fox’s MADtv where he had created shorts for their first 4 seasons to create more than a dozen new shorts for their 12th season. During 2007-8, Corky created and directed 12 comic shorts for Turner’s comedy broadband channel SuperDeluxe.com.
