We’re thrilled to have Jeff Gill. He came to our attention as a contest winner when we co-sponsored the Los Angeles Animation Festival in 2007. While Jeff may be a relatively new face, he has already begun to make a name for himself in the world of animation and has been a regular contributor to South Park over the last couple of seasons.
Graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2007, Jeff continued his pursuit of animation with internships at both Nickelodeon and Dreamworks/PDI. Since moving out to Los Angeles, his resume has grown to include a number of projects including an animated feature for the Disney Channel and numerous shorts with JibJab.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys directing on his own animated projects including music videos, spec commercials and experimental. His work has been seen both on television and in festivals around the world, including the Black Maria and Mofilm Mobile Film Festival to name a few.
Jeff says he thrives on limited deadlines and has won many awards from competitions that require a finished animated piece within just a few days, a trait that comes in handy for his work as an animator on South Park. The pressure of time limits seems to only fuel his ambition and spark his creativity. Through sharp comedic timing and graphic illustrations, Jeff's work conveys a fun-to-watch lightheartedness that can be applied to any subject matter.
